IRISH folk band The Kilkennys are set to bring a taste of County Kilkenny to Bromsgrove later this year.

A Night in Kilkenny, featuring the internationally renowned group, will take place at Bromsgrove’s Artrix Theatre on Sunday, September 6 at 7.30pm.

The evening is designed to recreate the atmosphere of a lively Irish bar, with the band performing as the venue’s 'resident' pub band, for one night only.

Known for their strong musicianship and energetic live performances, The Kilkennys have established a reputation for revitalising traditional Irish music while staying true to its roots.

The four-piece ensemble, comprising Davey Cashin, Rob Campion, Tommy Mackey and Davey Long, are visiting Bromsgrove as part of a two-week tour.

Their set will feature well-known Irish favourites such as The Galway Girl, The Irish Rover, Rocky Road to Dublin, Fields of Athenry, Tell Me Ma and many more.

Organisers have promised a lively night of singing and 'blarney fun', with the band’s high-energy style creating a party atmosphere.

Tickets are available through the Artrix Theatre's website, by calling the box office on 01527 361324, or in person at the theatre.
