VISITORS can go wild at Avoncroft Museum on Tues and Wednesday, August 10 and 11, when they explore and learn all about the natural surroundings.

People can enjoy spending time in the petting zoo with cuddly rabbits, cute guinea pigs and furry chinchillas. Everyone can pet the animals and discover how to look after them properly.

Then, for the more adventurous, people can get up close and personal with some lizards and snakes.

Families will also be able to take part in activities to encourage the wildlife into their own gardens and improve their identification skills.

There will be the opportunity to make Dr Who inspired Tardis bird feeders, learn how to identify animal tracks in a special trail and join in with special nature themed craft activities.

On Thursday, August 12, the wild theme continues and children can have a go at pond dipping to discover what is lurking in the depths of the museum pond. Pond dipping sessions are pre-bookable.

Admission prices are adults £6.60, seniors £5.50, children £3 and a family ticket for two adults and three children is £16.50.
