A BROMSGROVE church is organising a fundraising event in aid of a campaign to help disadvantaged Africans.
New Road Baptist Church, in Ednall Lane off New Road, is holding a table top sale on Saturday, February 12, between 10am-noon.
The money raised from the sale will be used to support Samaritan’s Purse’s, ‘Clean Water for Africa’ campaign, which is designed to give disadvantaged people access to clean drinking water in Africa.
Pauline Wilkes, from the church, said organisers are hoping to raise as much money as possible to help people who have to walk an average of four miles every day to get to fresh water, then travel the four-mile distance back to their homes carrying the water.
A table costs £5, and the church is also appealing for people to donate items to sell on stalls for the campaign.
Anyone who wants to donate items, or to book a table, call 01527 832331.
