A SUPPORTERS club based in Bromsgrove is inviting fans to a evening with football legends raising money for a good cause.

Bromsgrove Villa Lions, the Aston Villa supporters’ club, has organised an evening with Brian Little and Peter Withe, which is being held at the Grapevine pub, in High Street, on September 5.

Brian is regarded as an all-time great by Villa fans, having been a member of Villa’s league cup winning teams in the 1970s. He also was manager of the club for a period in the 1990s.

Peter Withe was top scorer in his first season at Villa Park, which helped the club win the football league title, and secured his legendary status when he scored Villa's winner against Bayern Munich in the European Cup final.

During the evening, supporters will have the opportunity to ask their heroes questions, and get photos and autographs from the special guests.

There will also be a raffle of Villa merchandise, including some signed items.

Money raised is to be split between the Acorns Children's Hospice and Cure Leukaemia charities.

Doors open for the evening at 7pm, with the night beginning at 7.30pm.

The event is ticket only, and organisers say tickets must be purchased in advance as demand is expected to be high.

Tickets cost £5 for club members, £7 for non-members.

To book tickets, or for more details, email info@bromsgrovevillalions.co.uk or call 07880790084, or 07896772288.
