WE had a very enjoyable Jubilee garden party. Our president Jean kindly allowed us to use her neat and tidy garden.

Her friends and neighbours had put up two gazebos – our thanks for their help.

There was an excellent large raffle and two guessing games. In the other gazebo the tea was laid out – with delicious sandwiches and cakes.

The committee had worked hard. We were lucky with the weather, the rain stopped soon after 2pm and started again after 4pm. In between the sun was warm. The competitions were for a bookmarker, cake and a decorated hat. It was nice to see our secretary Marion enjoying the party after her foot operation.

Our visit to Stratford-on-Avon was very enjoyable after a rainy start the weather brightened up and we were able to look around.
