ADVENTUROUS children from a Bromsgrove school enjoyed a night of camping, despite poor weather.
Year three pupils from Millfields First School, in Swift Close, camped at the forest school area of Millfields, which is used for outdoor activities, just before the end of term.
Youngsters were challenged to pitch their tents, took part in team challenges, and sung round an indoor camp fire.
They enjoyed hot dogs and baked potatoes before settling down for the night.
Sharon Worrall, Millfields’ key stage two co-ordinator who organised the event, said: “Here at Millfields we feel every child should have the opportunity of a residential experience.
“The children develop confidence and independence and also learn how to solve different problems or challenges working together as a team.
“The children had an amazing time and I would like to thank all the staff who gave up their weekend to support the project.”
