THERE are some amazing festive events for young and old planned at a Lickey End garden centre, but it is desperately in need of help from the public.

Little Heath Garden Centre has already organised its real reindeers to come into store, but unfortunately Santa seems to have vanished, and so help is needed.

Unless Santa is found, there will be hundreds of disappointed youngsters at the centre, as they come to visit him in his grotto.

The grotto will be open on Saturday, November 24 from 12-4.40pm, then every Saturday from December 1-22 from 11-4.30pm. It will also be open from Monday, December 17-Friday, September 21 from 1-4.30pm and Christmas Eve, December 24, from 10am-2pm. The cost is £5.99.

The centre’s Magical Christmas Groto will be officially opened on Saturday, November 24 at noon, but the day before, Bromsgrove MP Sajid Javid and Councillor Janice Boswell will be joining a group of children, many connected to the Primrose Hospice, for a sneak preview of the Christmas goings-on, and to meet Santa, should he be found in time.

Liz Fraser from the Lickey End garden centre said: “We are so looking forward to inviting youngsters to our festive fun, and it would be so disappointing if Santa is not there to meet them.

“We’re sure there’s someone out there who can help us track Santa down and would love to hear from him.”

Anyone who thinks they can make sure Santa is present for Little Heath’s festive events should call 01527 878174 or 01527 832728.
