FASCINATING pictures of Birmingham before and after the inner ring road was constructed, are to be featured in a slideshow at Bromsgrove library. Local author, Mark Norton, will be comparing his father's photographs from the 1950s and 60s with those of today, highlighting the many buildings bulldozed in the name of progress. Mark is the author of the recently published book Birmingham Past and Present. His slide-show is to be held in the Stratford Road library on March 8 from 2.30-3.30pm. The talk is free, but places are limited so people are being warned to book early on 01905 765025.
