CCTV captured the moment a burglar snuck into an autistic man's home in Bromsgrove while his back was turned as he fed his dog.
Jay Grant, who lives in a supported bungalow in Beech Road, was home alone when a man walked into his house and stole his iPad, which he relies on to communicate with others.
Jay, aged 24, told the Advertiser: "Due to my autism, the iPad provided me with communication support and it has deeply affected my quality of life and communicating with others.
"It has put a big strain on my day to day function without the iPad."
The item stolen was a gold iPad Pro in a blue Pure Sense protective case.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "Police were called at 3.08pm on May 27 to a report that a man had entered a house on Beech Road, Bromsgrove, and stolen an iPad.
"The incident was reported to have taken place at around 2pm.
"Investigations are ongoing. If anyone witnessed the incident or any suspicious behaviour in the area, please call police on 101, quoting 475s."
