IN addition to raising £52,000 for charity, the Worcestershire Ambassadors’ Ball at West Midland Safari Park, Bewdley included the presentation of the Michael Brinton Pride of Worcestershire award.
This year there were two recipients, Judy Owen and Tracey Hopkins, both Worcestershire Ambassadors, in recognition of their contribution to significant community fundraising.
Ambassadors’ chairman Vince Hopkins said: "We felt Judy and Tracey have over many years embodied what we mean by the ‘pride of Worcestershire’. They both work tirelessly and in their own time to promote the county of Worcestershire and help raise funds for projects within our community.”
The Pride of Worcestershire award was presented by the Lord Lieutenant of Worcestershire, Lt Col Patrick Holcroft.
