SIX new fingerposts pointing to locations of interest in Bromsgrove have now been erected around the town centre.

Improved signage for visitors to Bromsgrove have been completed, and upgraded to a new attractive black and gold design.

The upgraded posts are one of the many planned improvements for Bromsgrove, as part of the town centre regeneration programme.

Jointly funded by Worcestershire County Council and Bromsgrove District Council, the posts are strategically positioned at each end and middle of High Street, at the bus station and outside Market Hall, and Recreation Road South car parks. The posts direct visitors to town centre locations.

Key public services and facilities signposted include the police station, Bromsgrove Rovers Victoria Ground, the Dolphin Centre, council offices, toilets, buses, taxis, High Street, Recreation Ground and Artrix.

Bromsgrove District Council portfolio holder for the town centre, councillor Ted Tibby, said he hoped that some of Bromsgrove’s attractions will not feel hidden away now signs are up.

Mr Tibby said: “As a result of requests people made to us for good signage in the town we have put up these fingerposts.

“These excellent new signposts are further work towards developing our town centre, and now people should find the Artrix, our new bus station and toilets, the library and so on more accessible.”
