DOG owners in Bromsgrove and Droitwitch are being invited to take part in a national study into the exercise habits of their canines.
Jacob Sutton, pet expert at Countrywide's, Stoke Prior store, is encouraging dog owners to help with a nationwide study about the exercise habits of the country's dogs.
Owners can complete the short survey detailing their dog's breed and weight, time spent exercising, nature of the exercise and estimated distance covered.
Jacob said: “There has been a lot of concern recently about dog obesity, and getting the right amount of exercise is of course crucial to a dog’s health and well-being – but what is the reality for different breeds?
“The guidelines for how far your dog should walk vary depending on the size and breed.
"We have decided to run a nationwide survey to try and understand more about dog exercise patterns and we will be publishing the results later in the spring.”
The survey can be completed online at countrywidefarmers.co.uk or in store, based in Brickhouse Lane.
