A PRESTIGIOUS awards ceremony is being held at a Droitwich venue - with Bromsgrove's MP in the running for one of the awards.
The Chateau Impney is hosting the British Muslim Awards 2015 on Tuesday, January 27.
The awards recognise a wide range of achievements across various aspects of society including business, charity, sport, arts and culture. They were established to celebrate the significant role British Muslims have in society.
Bromsgrove's MP Sajid Javid and Secretary of State for Culture Media and Sport is in the running for Politician of the Year, a category recognising individuals who have broken down political barriers and are constantly striving to implement change for the good of society.
Other awards being presented on the night include young achiever of the year, charity of the year, best at sport, Muslim woman of the year and services to medicine and education.
