A KIDDERMINSTER casual farm labourer, who was on medication for schizophrenia, was found hanged in woodland near Caunsall, an inquest heard.

Shane Leese, of Dunclent Crescent was discovered dead in Fairy Glen, near Beechtree Lane, at around 1.30pm on Thursday last week.

Reading a report from coroner officer, Peter Stockton, Worcestershire coroner, Victor Round, said Mr Leese had a history of mental illness but not self-harm.

The 29-year-old had been working with his father on Wednesday last week and had failed to make contact with him the following day.

Mr Round opened and adjourned the inquest to a date to be fixed at Stourport Coroner's Court today.
