A SLICE of cake - and comedy - will be on offer at Bromsgrove's Artrix centre, when Mrs Barbara Nice, described as a "hybrid between Mrs Merton and Victoria Wood", will be dropping in.
The Artrix promises "gateaux and giggles" at the "Comedy with Cake" show on September 11 at 2.30pm.
It will be hosted by stand-up comic, compere and actor Maureen Younger and Barbara - played by Janice Connolly - will star alongside quirky stand-up comedian Josh Pugh.
Josh won the new act competition in both the Birmingham and Nottingham comedy festivals last year.
Barbara Nice was first spotted by Peter Kay, leading to her appearances in "That Peter Kay Thing" and "Phoenix Nights", and making her a kitchen sink legend.
She is noted for her Stockport banter, handbags and crazy anecdotes, is billed as "Birmingham's favourite housewife" and recently starred in a Radio 2 comedy sitcom series.
Tickets for the event cost £7 (cake extra) and are available from the box office on 01527 577330 or on artrix.co.uk.
