A TEACHER at Colmers Farm Primary School in Rubery is having her head completely shaved by her year five pupils, to raise money for Macmillan charity.
Nikki Frost will have her hair braided in dressage plaits when she arrives at school on September 30, then children will be donating 30p a go to cut off one of her plaits.
Nikki said: "I have people in the family and know quite a few other people who have cancer. One of my friends had a son who died from testicular cancer at the age of 23, and I just thought why not. The school think it's a great idea and the children just think it's hilarious."
Fellow teachers at Colmers Farm have been filling in sponsorship forms to support her Brave the Shave fundraiser, but Nikki is hoping to raise a further £500 through online donations.
All of the money raised will go towards helping people who are facing cancer to start to feel more in control.
