A NURSERY in Wythall is launching a state-of-the-art 'eco classroom' to accommodate more than 30 pre-school children.
The Wendy House Day Nursery's new environmentally-friendly facility is air-tight with a specialist ventilation system, meaning there is less need for conventional heating.
Victoria Vann, managing director of The Wendy House, said: "We are very excited about the launch of the eco-classroom. It brings together so many different strands to cement The Wendy House’s position as a leader in setting the standard for early years education."
The unit was funded by Worcestershire County Council, and will be officially opened in Chapel Lane on September 27, by Bromsgrove District Council leader Geoff Denaro.
Victoria added: "Without this funding our eco-classroom would not have been possible, therefore we are delighted that our application was successful and our ambition to create more spaces for three and four year olds can be realised in such an innovative way.”
