Thea Whyte, 81 and husband Alan, 85, of Pennine Road, met in Aberdeen before moving to Bromsgrove in 1966, where they raised their two children Pamela, 59, and Alan, 55.
The couple reminisced their happy memories together as they were treated to a special meal to on Thursday, November 9, to mark their Diamond Wedding.
Mrs Whyte said: “My brother and Alan were friends for a few years first and then we clicked.
“He went away to the army and then come back and we married in 1958.
“We have lots of happy memories together over the years and two children.
“We celebrated our day with family and friends and then went out for a meal. We have heaps of presents, seven bouquets of flowers and 15 cards.
“One of the cards is from the Queen as well which is beautiful.”
Asked what the secret to their success is, Thea added: “We both just work together and get on with it!”
