A REDDITCH band is preparing for their "biggest gig to date" when they support American rockers Saving Abel.

State of Ember will provide support for the Mississippi rock outfit on Saturday, September 1, at The Asylum Venue in Birmingham as part of their world tour.

Bassist Mike Landreth said: "We're very excited and nervous! It's our biggest gig to date and hopefully will lead on to bigger and better things."

Saving Abel have previously played with the likes of Nickleback, Papa Roach and Avenged Sevenfold on their full US tours.

Alongside State of Ember, they have also asked Austrian band Psycho Village and American acoustic rock artist My Silent Bravery to join as support acts.

Tickets are £20 on the door, but concert goers can get them at a discounted rate if they message the band with their names beforehand, to be added onto the cheaper-rate guest list.
