A DRIVER was arrested after a rush hour crash in Halesowen.
The vehicle was involved in a police chase prior to the smash, which saw it hit another car near the junction of Howley Grange Road and Spies Lane, just before 5pm on Monday.
However a West Midlands Police spokesman said the pursuit had "finished before the collision happened".
The 25-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, robbery and burglary but was later released pending further investigation.
Paramedics attended and treated a 33-year-old man for back pain, before taking him to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Enquiries continue.
