THE Proms season is not quite over yet.
The ever-popular Primrose Proms concert will take place on Friday, October 19.
The Primrose Choir will be joined for the first time this year by Avonbank Brass Band, who will give a rousing performance of their favourites as well as all the usual Proms selections.
Walkwood Middle School Choir is making a welcome return, having given a most accomplished performance last year.
The two choirs will perform some pieces together and some separately, and some with the band.
A spokesman said: "As in all ‘Last-Night-Of-The-Proms’ concerts, there will be much flag-waving and an opportunity for the audience to join in.
"The Primrose Proms Concert is again taking place at Walkwood Middle School in Redditch, which proved such a splendid venue last year."
The concert begins at 7.30pm and tickets are available on 01527 67383 and 01527 546158.
The cost is £10 for adults and £5 for children. Tickets can also be obtained from the Primrose Hospice fundraising team on 01527 889796.
The Primrose Choir works closely with the fundraising team to support the work of the Primrose Hospice Centre of Care.
For choir members it is very rewarding to feel they are contributing to the wonderful work done by the hospice for patients and families all over the Redditch and Bromsgrove area.
The choir is always pleased to take bookings for any sort of event.
