A MOTORCYCLIST has died after a road crash at Cookley near Kidderminster this afternoon (Monday).

The incident, which also involved a car, happened at about 2.15pm at the junction of Castle Road and the A449.

An off-duty paramedic, a community first responder, two paramedic officers, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Staffordshire and the crew of the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham, who were in a car, all attended the scene but nothing could be done to save the male motorbike rider.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “Unfortunately, the motorcyclist had suffered very serious injuries.

"The ambulance staff provided advanced clinical care but sadly were not able to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.

“The woman driving the car was unhurt, though understandably shaken.”
