PEOPLE are being urged to place poppies in a Halesowen park to mark Remembrance weekend.

The Friends of Hurst Green Park are organising a poppy display to commemorate 100 years since the end of World War I.

The display was erected this week and is situated at the entrance to the park on Moat Drive.

Everyone is welcome to bring their own poppies in memory of friends and relatives.

Poppies can be attached to playground fencing, trees, fencing posts around the Millennium Woods or anything else suitable.
