RESIDENTS are being invited to a handmade fair which will help raise vital cash for unpaid carers in the town.

Carers Careline, which provides health, mental and emotional support to unpaid carers in the Redditch area, is holding the event at its base in the Ecumenical centre.

There will be lots of handmade items such as knitted goods, toys, cards, baubles, jams and other items, as well as homemade cake for sale.

A spokesman from the charity said: "This is a great opportunity to meet Carers Careline and some of our carers - share a coffee and cake and have a chat.

"If you know someone who is an unpaid, unrecognised carer please bring them along. This would be an ideal occasion for them to come and find out what help is available."

They added: "If you’re a carer yourself and you don’t know us - please come and meet us, have a chat, and find out what we’re all about.

"We’re here to support you and we know how hard it is for carers to get out or to talk to new people - this will be a really easy, fun and safe way for you to get in touch with us and we would love to welcome you to our sale.”

The handmade fair is on Thursday, November 30 from 10am to noon.
