THE Black Country Foodbank is appealing for donations from football fans at Stourbridge's home game with Kettering this Saturday (January 26).

The organisation helps vulnerable individuals and families in crisis through the provision of three days' emergency food supplies while a longer-term solution is developed.

Tinned meat, tinned ready meals, long life milk, long life fruit juice, squash and tinned fruit are all welcome.

Also on the food list are tinned potatoes, tinned vegetables, packets of pasta, jars of cooking sauces and packets of mashed potato.

Other non-food items needed include deodorant, shaving gel, shampoo, toilet rolls, toothpaste and toothbrushes.

Additionally, the Foodbank would welcome donations of baby wipes, nappies, small boxes of washing powder, sanitary towels (not tampons), washing up liquid and small packets of tissues.

Items can be dropped off at the collection points just inside the two sets of turnstiles at the Memorial Ground or at the club shop which is next to the clubhouse.
