MAYOR of Redditch Cllr Juliet Brunner has ended her term of office with one last special event - a visit to Buckingham Palace.
Cllr Brunner was recently invited to attend the Queen’s Garden Party at Buckingham Palace for services to the town.
Every summer, Her Majesty The Queen hosts up to three garden parties at Buckingham Palace, as well as one at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.
They are an important way for The Queen to speak to a broad range of people from all walks of life, all of whom have made a positive impact in their community.
Speaking after the visit cllr Brunner said: "It was a real honour to be invited to the garden party during my mayoral year.
"After representing the Queen as the first citizen of the town for the past year I was delighted to attend.”
She added: "His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, the Duchess Of Cornwall, and Princess Anne were in all attendance."
