THE popular, annual family fun day will be returning to Arrow Valley Countryside Park in July.

Residents and visitors can enjoy the annual Green Fair and Lions Fun day on Sunday, July 7 from 11am until 4.30pm.

This year, attractions include classic cars and Royal Enfield motorbikes, army climbing wall, pony rides, bumper balls, children's activities, craft stalls, and much more.

As in previous years, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, West Mercia Police and 37th Signal Regiment will all be attending with displays and demonstrations for visitors to enjoy.

Opening the event at 11am will be the Theatre Workshop children’s choir and there will also be local entertainment.

The event sees Redditch Borough Council teaming up with Redditch Lions.

Cllr Mike Rouse, whose portfolio covers leisure services, said: “Partnership working is something that is very important to us as an organisation and the relationship between the council, Redditch Lions and various other involved parties is paramount to the ongoing success of this annual event.

"We are very lucky because there are very few free events like this one on offer locally, and it is enjoyed by visitors from far and wide. I know my own daughters are already looking forward to an ice cream and a pony ride.”

Dave Beech from Redditch Lions, added: “We’re really glad to have teamed up with the borough council again to bring this fantastic event back to Arrow Valley. There’s going to be so much to do, you best get there early so you can enjoy it all.”

There is free admission and car parking at the event.

Details of the event can be found on the council website redditchbc.gov.uk/greenfair.
