A MAN has been jailed after making a threatening phone call to police and carrying a large kitchen knife in a Kidderminster street.
Jamie Humphries, aged 25, of no fixed abode, admitted possessing a knife in a public place and sending, by public communications, an offensive message.
Humphries appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court earlier today (Friday, August 23) and was sentenced to four months in prison.
The offences took place on Franche Road at around 3pm on Wednesday afternoon (August 21).
Humphries was arrested after armed response vehicles and police dogs were deployed to the area.
