CHILDREN at a Kidderminster nursery had a swashbuckling time dressing up as pirates as part of a themed play day.

Little Trinity Nursery children dressed up and even played with their very own 'Black Pearl' pirate ship.

Nursery manager and shipmate, Gaynor Carter, explained: “Playing pirates and digging for treasure, there’s no boundary to a child’s imagination, with role play a fantastic way for them to express themselves and to simply have fun.”

The children made swords, necklaces and decorated pirate biscuits before going outside to play pirates in their very own ship.

Added Gaynor: “They loved dressing up and creating their very own pirate characters and they all looked amazing. From our youngest at two years through to our older children of four years, this type of activity is perfect as they can all take part.”
