A MAN has been arrested during a police search for a convicted burglar from Kidderminster.

West Mercia Police has today confirmed that a 21-year-old man has been arrested as part of its search for Shane Hodgkins.

He is originally from Kidderminster but has links to Worcester and Malvern.

West Mercia Police thanked the public for their help finding 21-year-old Hodgkins and, in a tweet, said: "Thanks to everyone who shared our appeal for wanted man Shane Hodgkins, aged 21, who breached his terms of licence.

"Following our appeal, a 21-year-old man has been arrested."

Hodgkins appeared in court in Worcester in August 2018 charged with a series of burglaries.

While in the dock, he bit a police officer and disrupted the court proceedings.

When asked about the burglaries in court, he said: "I did every single one and I loved it.

“I’ll see you in a couple of years when I get out of jail.”
