A NEW riverside business centre has launched in Bewdley for professionals looking for flexible offices and meeting space.

Bewdley Business Centre is officially up and running following the completion of the first phase of refurbishment of Severn House at Riverside North by business owners Jon Duigenan and Juliet Betterton, who bought the property in April.

The building comprises 3,510 square feet of business space over two floors, which includes individual offices, temporary or permanent desks, meeting spaces and a boardroom and training room.

The hub has already secured its first tenant, DMS Logistics Software Ltd, which relocated after 30 years at next door Bridge House.

DMS has taken temporary space while its permanent office is under development. The company will move into an office space overlooking the River Severn later this month.

Now, Bewdley Business Centre is focussed on finding more prospective tenants.

Director Jon Duigenan, whose business IT Stress Free Ltd is based at the centre, said: "Our aim is to create a collaborative, flexible working environment for businesses that is adaptive to the changing way we all work today.

“Our vision is to establish a group of complementary businesses in an environment where we benefit from each other - a place where consultants with common interests can work together and grow by exchanging expertise and ideas, somewhere that’s more than just office space.

“Now’s the time to express interest as we begin our next phase of refurbishment.”

Co-owner Juliet Betterton, who runs PR consultancy betterpr, added: "When we purchased Severn House, it was the opportunity to own and create the perfect business space for our respective businesses.

“We have an exclusive riverside location in the town and our vision is for a stimulating and beautiful place to work and enjoy. It offers the best of both worlds.”

Speaking at the opening, Mayor of Bewdley John Byng said: “This new venture is great news for Bewdley.

"It’s about bringing other businesses into our town and supporting our many independent retailers, restaurants and cafes.

"Congratulations to Jon and Juliet on a fantastic project.”
