KINVER village traders are organising a late night shopping event to celebrate the start of the festive season.

Businesses in the High Street have organised the event on Friday November 29 to help entice shoppers to do a spot of Christmas shopping.

There will be food laid on, a choir performing Christmas carols and a clairvoyant to reveal what is to come in 2020.

Santa will also be making an appearance, arriving on the Rotary Club’s sleigh at 7pm.

There will also be a competition for children with prizes up for grabs.

The following week the village will also be taking part in the nationwide small business shopping event on Saturday December 7.

All-day entertainment will begin at 10am with carol singers followed at 11am by the Bedcote Morris dancers who will be performing at the clock shelter, with more singing and dancing to follow throughout the afternoon.
