A STUDENT has designed a new flag which has been raised with pride at Wolverley CE Secondary School.

The Blakeshall Lane school held a competition to create its very own flag, with the winning design set to be raised on a mast within the grounds.

Lottie Mason, whose design was chosen as the winner, said: "I incorporated our school logo and college icons into my design as I felt this represented our school.

"The colours of the flag match the colours on our school ties and show how we are united.

"The ambition unlimited strapline shows how we have unlimited ambition to achieve our best collectively.”

Wolverley School teamed up with Big Print, Kidderminster to take the design from paper to flag, and a 'raising of the flag' ceremony was held on Friday, December 6.

A school spokesman said: "Wolverley CE Secondary School has worked closely with Big Print, Kidderminster and we would like to thank them for their support.

"Their expertise and generosity have meant that on Friday, we held a raising of the flag ceremony and the flag flies from our mast with pride.

"Thank you to all at Big Print – we are thrilled with our flag."
