A GROUP of singers from Kingswinford Christian Centre in Summer Street raised £120 for Mary Stevens Hospice after a night of singing on the streets.

The group take to the streets of Kingswinford every year in the run-up to Christmas to spread a little cheer and help raise cash for a good cause.

Due to heavy downpours they only managed one night of performing instead of two as they didn't fancy singing in the rain. But they were chuffed to raise £120 for the Oldswinford the hospice.

Group spokesman Kath Cooper said: "A cheque will be presented to Mary Stevens in the very near future. We'd like to thank everyone who gave to this very worthy cause, and to all those who encouraged us with requests for their favourite carols."
