A BUNGLING driver caught with no headlights in Redditch has been taught a costly lesson by police.
Posting on Facebook officers said they recently pulled over a car on Unicorn Hill, which drove straight past them, with no headlights - at night.
When asked why that was the driver replied they were 'broke'.
Police also found they had no insurance and no tax.
The driver was reported and was given six points and a £300 fine.
He must also pay seizure costs, which start at £150.
If that wasn't enough, the driver must also insure and tax the vehicle before they can collect it.
Officers said: "#Expensive... is it worth it?"
