A TEENAGER has died after being stabbed in Dudley.

Police were called to Spring Pool Meadow on the Russells Hall estate just before 7pm on Monday (March 16), where they found a 19-year-old male with a stab wound to his back.

The man, who has not been named, died at the scene despite the best efforts of members of the public who rushed to help.

Police say his family are now being supported by specialist officers.

A 20-year-old man and two teenagers, aged 15 and 16, were arrested on suspicion of murder overnight and remain in police custody this morning (March 17).

DCI Jim Munro from the Homicide team, said: “I am appealing for anyone who saw what happened last night to get in touch with us as soon as possible.

“I am particularly interested in hearing from anyone who saw a group of people on Spring Pool Meadow and could help give us descriptions of those who were involved.

“We are committed to finding those responsible and won’t stop until we do. If you know anything, no matter how small, please talk to us."

Dudley Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Sally Bourner, added: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of this young man who has sadly died.

“This is an awful incident and we recognise the wider impact it can have on our communities. Our local neighbourhood teams will be out in the area providing reassurance and we are working hard with partners as a top priorty to tackle violence, which has no place in our borough.”
