A HOME care provider in Kidderminster has announced plans to recruit 50 caregivers to help cope with increased demand during the coronavirus outbreak.

Home Instead Senior Care, which provides care to older people in their own homes, says the jobs boost will be a lifeline to people who have been let go from other industries.

Laura Baber, owner of Home Instead Kidderminster, said: “We know that the current situation has caused many people to worry, but we want to reach out to those who may have been made redundant to let them know that we are here to help. As a company that cares for the elderly, we need you more than ever.

“The service we provide to our clients is based on a mix of personal care and companionship care.

"You don’t need to have any experience as full training is provided. What’s important is that people want to make a difference and have a caring nature.

“We would like to reassure everyone that we are taking all recommended safety measures and are continuing to adhere to government’s advice whilst doing as much as we can to care for our clients.”
