A COLLEY GATE photographer is taking doorstep portraits of families during lockdown to help raise money for an appeal started by the school where she works.

Sarah Cole-Tullet who works as a lunchtime-supervisory assistant at Cradley CofE, which her daughter Amélie Belle, aged eight, attends, is taking free doorstep portraits in return for a donation to the school's appeal to raise cash for the NHS.

The appeal, at the school's JustGiving page - has already raised £1,057 for the Dudley Group NHS Charity.

Details of how to book a doorstep portrait to make a lasting memory of lockdown in return for a donation to the appeal can be found on Sarah's Facebook page.

Sarah, who runs Kath & Belle photography from a small studio at her home in Talbot Street, Colley Gate, said: "I only started my photography business in February and then I had to stop and I was really missing taking photographs.

"I had seen a photographer up north who was taking doorstep pictures for charity so I thought I would give it a go.

"It's been great - I have taken around 35 already and raised more than £400 towards the appeal."

Sarah specialises in taking portraits of children and families and hopes to start taking newborn pictures later in the year when restrictions are lifted.

She has been working at Cradley CofE a few days a week during lockdown as it has been open for the children of key workers and is set to go back in every day next week when the school opens to years reception, year one and year five.

Her daughter is in year three.

Sarah will travel within five miles of the B63 postcode to take doorstep pictures which she will be taking until the end of next week.
