MORE shops are set to reopen in Merry Hill over the coming days.

Around 40% of stores in the centre were open following the government granting non-essential retailers the green light to reopen on June 15.

More stores are set to open in the next few days, with other shops following suit going into next week.

Clinton Cards and The Perfume Shop reopened today (June 17) along with US burger chain Five Guys.

The restaurant is not open to sit in but deliveries can be made online and collected in store or through Deliveroo.

Bakery favourite Greggs is set to reopen on Thursday (June 18), along with Starbucks, while New Look fans can get their fix from Friday (June 19).

Next week will see Ann Summers reopen to customers on Monday, June 22, followed by Vodafone on Tuesday, June 23.

One-way systems, floor stickers and queues outside stores ensure visitors stay socially distanced inside the popular centre.

Gavin Prior, operations director at intu, said: "Our visitors have been playing their part by staying socially distanced and following all the other safety measures we have in place to make sure all intu centres are safe places to visit and work.
