A 24 hour ‘Beats and Bounce’ event will hit the Redditch airwaves as part of a fundraising drive to help seriously ill children.

The charity event is being broadcast on social media from Enfield Industrial Estate from 2pm tomorrow (Saturday, August 1).

DJs will be performing in support of Matt's Mission Children's Charity, which has suffered a huge blow due as lockdown restrictions have prevented fundraising activities.

Members of the team will also be bouncing on a castle dressed as superheroes for the whole 24 hours.

Team member Claire Stokes said: "There will be live phone in, games with prizes, videos from the charity families shown on the big screens.

"We will also be bouncing on a castle as superheroes for 24 hours which will also be broadcast, you can tune in on 8 platforms and share and donate www.goldengiving.com/fundraising/24hourbeatsnbounce.

"It is going to be amazing.

"Due to Covid-19 we have been unable to generate funds from organising big events and have lost out so we need everyone to support and share.

We will also be drawing the Beach Retreat Caravan draw which is open now £2 entry and still a chance to have a go www.paypal.me/mattsmission www.goldengiving.com/fundraising/24hourbeatsnbounce."

Matthew Denning, who started the charity over a decade ago, said: "We are hoping to generate as much income as we can. It's a crazy challenge.

"I started the charity in 2009 because my grandad had cancer and sadly died. My main aim then was to help seriously ill children with cancer."
