ACTOR and TV star John Challis lent a helping hand to officially open a new kitchen in Orleton Village Hall.
The ‘Only Fools and Horses’ and ‘Benidorm’ star opened the kitchen on Tuesday at a special ribbon cutting ceremony.

The newly refurbished kitchen cost almost £40,000 and was funded by the Leader’s Grant from Herefordshire Council with support from Orleton Parish Council.
Thanks to the addition of the newly refurbished kitchen, organisers have dubbed the hall ‘possibly the finest village hall kitchen in Herefordshire and the Marches’.
It is hoped that the refurbishment will lead Orleton Village Hall to be a popular wedding venue choice in Herefordshire and South Shropshire as it can hold up to 130 guests and has all the appropriate facilities.
