HEREFORD's Hoople Recruitment has been named a supplier on the Crown Commercial Service's new supply teacher framework.

Developed to ensure consistent fees and strict standards for safeguarding and employment checks for supply teachers, the importance of the new tool's value in agency selection is being promoted by the CCS and the Department for Education.

All agencies on the framework must prove they complete background and safeguarding checks, which include face-to-face interviews, and up-to-date DBS check and any relevant sanctions or restrictions from working with children, on all workers.

The company's place on the framework came following a successful audit from the Recruitment and Employment Confederation.

Kerry Donativo, Hoople Recruitment Consultant for Schools and Education said: "This is a huge step towards ensuring the safeguarding of children in schools and educational settings.

"It's great that schools can be comfortable knowing they provicde their pupils with a safe, great education at a fair price."
