THE work of the 'Canary Girls' of the old Rotherwas Munitions factory was remembered in a special cycle ride and wreath-laying service.
Lin Mathias, a third year student at Hereford College of Arts, organised a cycle ride from De Koffie Pot in Hereford to coincide with International Women’s Day.
The ride visited places significant to the Canary Girls.
At Bullinghope Church two wreaths were laid on an unmarked grave in memory of those who died in an explosion.
On Sunday, June 30, a permanent memorial will be laid, and another cycle ride is planned for the occasion.
