A 160-mile bike ride to Hereford has raised £3,500 for the Royal National College for the Blind in memory of a former student.
The ride from Southampton in memory of Gordon Stephens MBE was organised by Gordon’s son Robin Stephens, with family and friends taking part.
Gordon, who studied at the college in the 1940s and 1950s passed away in 2015 and his family set up a memorial trust to support the work of the RNC.
Starting on October 4, the group were met by RNC staff, students and volunteers at Mordiford two days later to ride into Hereford.
Robin said: “It was a very happy and sometimes moving, occasion.”
