POLICE are investing a report of a thief who posed as a charity worker in Ledbury.
A police spokesman said: "A member of the public was approached in the street by a female claiming to be a charity worker and collecting for charity. The victim made a donation from her purse then the suspect asked the victim to write a name on the clipboard and show her I.D. The victim then later found a large amount of cash had been stolen from the purse."
The incident took place on October 18, at 11.50am.
