A WOMAN has been airlifted to hospital after she was hit by a van in a Herefordshire town.
An ambulance service spokesperson said emergency services were called to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle in Bromyard at 12.17pm today.
Paramedics, a paramedic officer, and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Stresham were called to the scene.
The woman was treated for potentially serious injuries and has been airlifted to hospital in Birmingham for further treatment.
The crash happened near the Church Street zebra crossing.
The road has now reopened.
