The Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards have a new backer.

Joining the long list of sponsors for the annual event are home care providers Altogether Care, based at Plough Lane in Hereford.

The company, launched in January 2014, is sponsoring two categories in this year’s awards: Domiciliary Care and Palliative/End of Life Care.

Altogether are no strangers to the awards – they have been enthusiastic supporters with multiple nominations, and in 2018 were voted the Care Employers of the Year buy the judges.

The firm was founded by Helen Gordon, who had 13 years experience in social care before starting her own business.

It quickly built up a positive reputation and has a Good rating by the Care Quality Commission.

Most of the clients are elderly, but Altogether provide adult home care for all ages above 18.

Care offered includes dementia; domestic services; elderly care; mental health; physical disabilities and sensory impairment.

It’s a 24-hour, seven days a week, 365 days a year service.

Helen says: “It can be difficult accepting support when life-changing events happen but we can offer advice and support from our experienced, mature and professional team.

“Whether you need us for half an hour to several visits daily or even a full waking/sleep-in service we aim to provide the care you want.”

The firm specialise in support for the elderly, palliative care; respite and care while convalescing. It also offers one-off help.

Altogether Care come highly recommend by clients, families and staff.

From a daughter was praises ‘Helen and her team’ for providing vital support when her mother was ill to the person who says Altogether Care made it possible for ‘to remain in my own home and be as independent as safely possible.’
