MAYOR of Ludlow, Tim Gill is calling for entries for Ludlow Calendar of Events 2019 - What’s on Guide for Ludlow.

“The Calendar of Events is a leaflet designed to work for Ludlow,” said Mr Gill.

“We look forward to welcoming adverts and listings for events in Ludlow from customers old and new!

“The Town Council only seeks to cover the production costs, so we are able to keep the prices for listings and for display advertising as low as possible. Prices remain at last year’s rate – there is no price increase in 2019!’

Town Clerk, Gina Wilding added that up to 100,000 of the leaflets will be printed.,

“The leaflet is published by Ludlow Town Council to help promote Ludlow,” she said.

“We are printing 90,000 – 100,000 leaflets, 55,000 will be distributed in a one to two-hour travel zone radiating out from Ludlow that covers, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and parts of Wales and the West Midlands; and 35,000 – 45,000 leaflets will be distributed via our local distribution network. There will also be a digital version available online.”

Approximately 20,000 attend the three day September Food Festival every autumn making it the largest event in the town’s calendar.

The venue that attracts most visitors over the year is St Laurence Church.

Also a major attraction is the summer Fringe Arts Festival in June and July.
