STUDENTS have met the city's MP to talk Brexit, university fees and whether 16-year-olds should be able to vote.

Robin Walker, MP for Worcester, met the pupils on a visit to Bishop Perowne CE College.

Mr Walker spoke to students in years 10 and 11 to answer questions on a wide range of subjects.

Mark Pollard, Headteacher at Bishop Perowne CE College, said: “We were delighted to welcome Robin Walker MP to the school. The students asked some particularly engaging questions about issues affecting them and we would like to thank Mr Walker for taking the time to give answers at what is a particularly busy time at Westminster.

“In addition, he congratulated us on the ‘Good’ judgement at our recent Ofsted inspection and promised to continue to fight for fairer school funding, so the pressure on our school finances, together with those of all schools in Worcester, is reduced.”

The visit took place earlier this month.
