THE Journal’s dog training specialist Sarah Bartlett has returned from a triumphant time at Crufts with her dog Ripple.

Sarah said: “We had a fab time at Crufts. On Friday we did a main arena display, on Saturday we did two GCDS arena displays and on Sunday three in the GCDS ring plus a main arena performance.

“Even better, Ripple got to meet Clare Balding and was on the opening of the Best in show programme. Ripple did so much on her little legs and I couldn’t be prouder. It was so nice too that the other little dachshund next to Ripple was her uncle Stanley, whom I bred.

“Another bonus was that we have been invited to do the displays again at discover dogs in London in October!”

Ripple is just 16 months old and is a miniature longhaired dachshund  – a breed that is often thought to be untrainable.”
